Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Kwabi Games Limited (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (number 11251758) with its registered office at 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX. They cover your use of Mindful Matching on any device. By creating an account you agree to them, to our Community Guidelines, and to how we handle data as described in our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Mindful Matching
You can only use Mindful Matching if:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you are not prevented by law from using it, and you have never been convicted of a sexual offence or of a violent crime against another person;
- you have only one account, and we haven't previously removed you.
We may ask you to confirm your age, including through an age check provider, and remove accounts we believe belong to someone under 18.
2. Your account
Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us at kwabigames@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
3. How the service works
- Your questionnaire answers give you a personality type, which we use, together with any dating preferences you choose to share, to suggest people you're likely to get on with. Suggestions are a guide, not a promise of compatibility.
- You can like up to 5 people a day. A chat opens only when you both like each other.
- You can arrange to meet in the app and, after a date, tell us privately how it went. We use this feedback to improve suggestions and keep members safe, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
- We may change, add or remove features to improve the service or meet legal requirements.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, words and recordings you add (“your content”). You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, adapt (for example resize) and show your content to other members so we can run Mindful Matching. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we need to keep it to deal with a report or to meet a legal duty. Only add content you have the right to share, and only photos of yourself.
5. Rules and how we protect you from illegal content
You must follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, you must not share or send anything illegal, including sexual content involving anyone under 18, intimate images without consent, threats, harassment, hate, or fraud.
To protect members from illegal and harmful content we:
- automatically screen profile photos for nudity and violence and remove those that fail;
- only let people message each other after they both like each other;
- let you block, unmatch or report anyone from any chat;
- have a person review every report, prioritising serious ones;
- may hide an account from new suggestions while a report is being reviewed;
- remove content and suspend or permanently ban accounts that break the rules;
- report child sexual exploitation and abuse to the National Crime Agency, and share information with the police where the law requires it or someone is at risk.
6. Reporting and complaints
To report a member, open your chat with them, tap ••• then Report. Reporting is confidential and also blocks them. Anyone, including people without an account, can report illegal content or complain about how we've handled a report by emailing kwabigames@gmail.com.
If we suspend your account, we'll tell you which guideline you broke. If you think we got it wrong, email us: someone who wasn't involved in the original decision will look at it again, and we aim to reply within 7 days.
7. Meeting people safely
We don't carry out criminal record or identity checks on members, and we can't control what people do outside the app. Be careful when you talk to or meet anyone: meet in a public place, tell a friend your plans, and never send money. Our Community Guidelines and the Safety centre in the app have more advice and UK support services. If you are in danger, call 999.
8. Suspending or ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account, or by email. We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms or the Community Guidelines, if we're required to by law, or to protect other members. Where it's safe and lawful, we'll tell you why.
9. Price
Mindful Matching is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we'll tell you the price and terms before you pay anything.
10. Our responsibility to you
We'll provide Mindful Matching with reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for how other members behave, in the app or in person, or for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We'll tell you in the app about important changes before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
